Hi I'm Mitchell

I've lived the majority of my life in Utah. I hope to make the world around me a better place. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am preparing to serve a mission in Portland, Oregon. Currently, I am in high school and working towards graduation. I love to learn and study, and I plan to attend a university following my mission. My favorite academic subjects are history and literature. I also enjoy running; throughout my high school career I have been involved in cross country and track.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my life an immensity of joy and peace. I have, in the past, experienced great turbulence as I have struggled to understand life's meaning and my purpose as an individual. Questions such as these led me to intense mental and emotional struggle. When it became almost too much to bear, I placed my trust in the Lord and began praying and studying his word daily. As I began to abide by the standards of the Church, earnestly seeking after a testimony of Christ, I soon realized a drastic improvement. I felt happier, and more at peace, and I began to feel the presence of the Spirit with me. It guided me, and still guides me, to a better understanding of myself and the world around me, as well as helping me to make decisions in my life. I feel Christ's love and recognize it all around me. It brings me such great joy and I would not want to live without it.

How I live my faith

I love the Lord. I find that my life is continually blessed in a multitude of ways because of the gospel and its teachings. I find great comfort in studying my scriptures and praying daily; I also attend church meetings regularly. The comradery I feel from my fellow church members never fails to lift my spirits and brighten my day. I consistently try to emulate them and the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ, in my everyday life as I strive to better myself and the world around me.
