Hi I'm Jessica

I was born in Utah to French immigrant parents. They were converts to the church, who wanted America's freedoms. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college sophomore, and right now I'm completely fascinated by chemistry! I love learning, especially learning new things. I'm taking a break from school to serve a mission, but I am so excited to serve the Lord. I love spending time with my family and friends, who have the pleasure (they may feel differently) of hearing me talk about the new things I've learned or read. I'm a jokester, and I love making people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church and this gospel. I love the teachings and the way of life that we life. I know that by living the way that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ wants us to live, we can be the healthiest, happiest, and best selves we can be. I know that through Jesus Christ's sacrifice, we can repent of our sins and return to our Father. I'm so grateful that our Heavenly Father loved us so much that He sent his only son. My favorite part about this church is that the family is at the center. All the things we do, we do so families can be together forever. It's so comforting to know that when I die my family will be there waiting for me. I'm also so excited for the future when I can get married in the temple, and that I will be able to be with the one I love forever, and not just until "death do us part". This gospel is perfect, but we ourselves are not. We are all just trying to get back to our Father, and we all are going through trials. But I know that if I endure, and have faith in Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and their church, that I will eventually be perfected through Them.

How I live my faith

It's sometimes hard to be a Mormon in these times when the world's standards are so opposite to ours. So I try my best to be IN the world, but not OF the world. I always live my standards, even if it's not the popular thing to do. But I know that living the commandments and way of life that Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and our Prophet has asked us to will keep us happy, healthy, and all around better people. There was a time in my life when I was not following these, and those times were the darkest in my life. I'm so grateful for Jesus Christ's sacrifice, so that I can repent when I make mistakes. I try to share my story with others, and tell them about how much love our Heavenly Father and Savior has for us. No matter how imperfect we are, and what sins we have made, they are always there waiting with their arms open, and waiting for our prayers.
