Hi I'm Katey

Eating ice cream and playing games with my family is my utopia. I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am child number 5 of 8. I love my family. They are my life. We've moved several different times in my life and so instead of making lifelong friends like many people have, we have all just grown closer together. Some people ask me which of my siblings I like the best- and honestly I could not say just one. I love each of my siblings for very different things. We are all very unique. I am the quiet one- I express myself through music. I love playing the piano, singing, listening, and writing! I will soon depart for the South where I will share the "Good News" with the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my independence. I moved out of the house when I was 17. I was so excited to get out into the world and see what was there. I soon realized the struggles in life. Education. Money. Housing. Money. Food. It was not all peaches and cream like I had thought it would be. I was sad. Everyone says you only have one life. Live it UP! How do you live a good life with all the struggles that are always right behind you? Or in some circumstance, right on top of you? Well folks, IT WILL ALWAYS BE A DAILY BATTLE!! So we have to "live it up" everyday IN our struggles. There is no way I could be positive about this without my brother, Jesus Christ and my Father in Heaven. I continue to receive motivation by daily prayer and scripture study. There is nothing else that can replace the daily communication to and from Heavenly Father. He is the way. The only way.

How I live my faith

I don't drink coffee. I don't even think about smoking or drinking. I keep the Sabbath day holy in every way. I am modest. I am chaste. Why? Why do all Mormons give these things up? Here is the short answer. There was a young boy who had a question. He wanted to know which church out of all the churches on this earth were true. He asked God. Heavenly Father AND Jesus Christ visited him. They told him that none of the churches on the earth at that time were fully correct. They told Joseph Smith that the true gospel would soon be restored upon the earth. It is through revelation that we know to not drink coffee, smoke, drink, and do all those other things that mormons do or don't do.
