Hi I'm Jarom

I'm a musician. I play soccer. I grew up in rural Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Perú Lima West Mission. In high school I played soccer, ran cross country, sang in choir, and played the cello in orchestra. After my mission I plan to go to BYU to study electrical engineering because I have a love for math and science.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a strong Mormon family. When I was young I never questioned if the church was true or if God was really there because I just knew and had a testimony that he was. However, things began to be different about when I turned 16. I started listening to the "philosophies of the world," and I sincerely questioned whether there was a God. The thing that kept me in it was the spiritual experiences I had from reading the scriptures. I know that they are God's word and they are a means by which He guides His children.

How I live my faith

A short way to communicate how I live my faith is I try my best to keep the commandments of God. However, that phrase encompasses...a lot. One commandment that I strive to live is to keep the Sabbath day holy. I normally spend five or more hours on Sunday doing "church stuff." Aside from the standard three hours of church meetings, I also help take the sacrament to the elderly in my ward who can't attend church. How I live my faith is reflected in my daily actions. I do my best everyday to follow the example of Jesus Christ by attempting to live as he would live.
