Hi I'm Abby L.

I live in Texas. I'm homeschooled. I'm the oldest of five kids. I'm a high school freshman. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I'm a 14 year old girl who lives in a family of seven. It gets pretty loud and messy at my house sometimes, because my mom homeschools me and my four younger siblings. They're so much fun to be around and are super funny! Learning has always been a passion of mine. I plan on graduating high school a year early so I can get my degree in Pyschology at Texas A&M. I love math, science, reading, foreign langauges, and art. Driver's Ed is pretty fun, too. :) When I'm not in the house studying or hanging aorund my family, I'm outside. I love to longboard (it's an extreme sport on a piece of wood like a skateboard, but longer) and am practicing to participate in races. I really, really like music. I can play piano and want to learn guitar and drums. I listen to a lot of different music; really, just anything that sounds good! My friends are almost as important to me as my family. They lift me up and make me laugh. Together, we laugh, run around, and are crazy. We are the most random people in the world; it's wonderful. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings that come with living the gospel and following Jesus Christ. I've heard of miracles that have happened through prayer, and I myself have experienced many miracles. I love this church and the happiness it brings; I would be in a terrible, lonely place right now if it wasn't for this church and the gospel.

How I live my faith

I help teach other girls my age in our church about the gospel. I also attend seminary, which is an early morning scripture study class (I wake up at 4:30 am every weekday, and class starts at 6:00 am). This school year, we're studying the Old Testament, and are in Isaiah right now. My youth group does service projects for our community. Every year, we participate in a food drive, build bikes for less fortunate kids, sing Christmas carols at hospices, and clean our church building.
