Hi I'm Megan Allsop

I grew up learning that cheese, packers and snow was all life had to offer. Nope! There is more to life. Hi, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI! I'm the youngest in a heavily populated male family. Born and raised in Wisconsin. I graduated high school then went to college. Currently taking a break to serve a mission for the next 18 months in Portland Oregon. I enjoy competing with my siblings in board games. Such as Ticket to Ride, Dominion, and Monopoly. I am a fan of comedy. I have many awkward experiences and its my favorite thing is it laugh through them.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am I a Mormon? I grew up with that question and never really questioned it...until life got difficult and harder. I think the answer is because of the feelings I got when I go to church, read The Book of Mormon, when I repent, when I pray, and when I testify to others that I know this Church is true. I get this feeling of utter most happiness and because of the strong and stinging words that are "I Know This Church". I know because I have been a witness of moments in my life where the Lord answered my questions. I know because I made the decision myself to continue being Mormon when things got hard and friends questioned me that I was just following my parents religion. I am and apart of the TRUE religion and I know it, feel it, and LOVE it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through my actions. That's the only way people take notice of us, right? SO why not show it that way. Right now I'm serving a mission for The Church for the next 18 months. Its the BEST thing ever! Tomas S. Monson said "Unless we Lose ourselves in the service of others, there is little purpose to our own lives." That's what I am doing and loving currently. Serving a mission opened my eyes to the people around us. Its all up to us to chose and serve them, you don't have to be a missionary to do it either. Serving and caring for others can be anything from leaving an uplifting note, taking out the trash, and spending time with someone who needs it the most. As a missionary I spend it teaching others of the Happiness the Gospel has brought to my life. ITS THE BEST! If you haven't guessed yet but I really like serving a mission.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Megan Allsop
The Plan of Salvation/Happiness! Mormons believe that we all have a road map that leads us to never ending happiness, if we chose it. Isn't that the best?! We believe that we all have to make decisions in our life. They are either good or bad decisions. With those decisions we gain experience that help us become who we want to be forever, that is more like our Loving Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
