Hi I'm Tori McFarland

Born in New Zealand, raised in the United States. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Auckland, New Zealand shortly after my parents made the long journey to the United States. I was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada also known as Sin City. Until more recently making the move to the promised land, beautiful Utah. I was a city kid until moving to Utah and now I have a love and appreciation for the outdoors. I am Polynesian and I love learning and experiencing my culture and other cultures. Spending time with my family is my favorite pass time. Whether we're watching movies, going on long car rides, hiking or my personal favorite pulling out the boxing bags and gloves for family home evening we're always having a great time together. I love rugby and played in high school. New Zealand All Blacks are my favorite team obviously! I also love to dance, traditional Polynesian dance or for fun to let loose and have a good time. I'm always up for a good ole road trip.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I prayed asking Heavenly Father with a sincere desire in my heart to know if this gospel is true. I read the Book of Mormon and I diligently searched for answers to my questions having faith that I would receive answers. I know Heavenly Father answered my prayers and I have felt His love for me. The Holy Ghost testified to me of its truthfulness time after time. I have felt love, joy, comfort, hope, forgiveness, happiness and so much more from this Gospel, the Book of Mormon and especially from the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I have felt the power of His atoning sacrifice in my life and I know because of my Savior Jesus Christ I am able to repent and be forgiven. I have received comfort through trials, sickness, afflictions and temptations. I know He lives and I have felt His everlasting love for me.

How I live my faith

I love sharing the Gospel! It is something that truly makes me happy and is a blessing in my life. Sharing my testimony of what I know to be true and what brings me happiness is what I want to do. I have recently been called to serve a mission in Nashville, Tennessee. I try to lead by example and follow the example of Christ. I have served as a Family History Consultant, learning more about my ancestors and helping others find family names is something I really love doing. I also visit teach sisters in my ward, getting to know people and serving them is also something I love and enjoy. Service projects are one of my favorite activities to participate in, with youth groups or with family and neighbors it always unifies us in spirit and always brings me closer to Christ.
