Hi I'm Rachel Hales

I grew up in Riverside, California. I am currently double majoring in Psychology and Exercise Science at UVU. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a strong LDS family with three other sisters. I grew up all my life painting and drawing and following in my video-game-developer-father's shoes. I now attend college at UVU and have switched from an art major to a psychology/exercise science double major. I played volleyball for four years and ran track and field competitively for eight years and then stopped at the college level.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in His gospel and His eternal plan for us. I know that the Lord loves us endlessly and that He is by our side through thick and thin and wants only the very best for us. I know that we are all children of God and that through obedience to his teachings we can return to be with Him and our families again. I am a Mormon because of the peace I feel knowing that I can be saved a place in His kingdom of glory one day. I am a Mormon because I love my Heavenly Father and I know He loves me, too.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking a stand and participating in my community and in my church. I have held many positions and callings: I was the president over each young girls' youth group in my church, I served as the chorister for my church, I now currently serve as a planner for my church's Monday family home evenings. I also live my faith quietly by myself: I read through verses of the Book of Mormon every day and I pray to my Heavenly Father each morning and night, even during the day if I need it.
