Hi I'm Elder Austin Jex

I'm a missionary. I'm a college student. I'm a biology fanatic. I grew up in Washington State. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love learning all about the world around me. I especially enjoy learning about the world and universe that God created because it increasing my appreciation for Him, and for His almighty power. I enjoy admiring nature and spending time in it. I love studying biology. I love understanding more about the human body and the way it functions. I also enjoy exercising my body through running, biking, weight lifting, and basketball. I have always loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. In October, 2016, I began my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am assigned to labor in the Philippines Bacolod Mission. I chose to give two years of my time to serve the Lord because I want to provide other families with the same happiness that my family has enjoy because of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned for myself that living the gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy. The gospel of Jesus Christ plainly teaches how I need to live to be able to have God's Spirit in my life, and what I need to do in order to one day return to live in God's kingdom. I have seen in my life that the gospel of Jesus Christ blesses families. My family is united by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of it, we are happier, kinder to one another, and we know that we are an eternal family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to become more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. I study the word of God every day, which helps me to learn more about the Lord. I pray to God as much as I can, and I try to keep a close relationship with him. Growing up I have accepted callings to serve those in my congregations by ministering to them in their homes and by serving other young people through leadership opportunities. I am currently serving a full-time mission, which has allowed me to be of especially great service to my fellow man. I want to continue to live my faith by helping others feel God's love for them. I love talking about all of the ways God has blessed His Children in our day.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Elder Austin Jex
Missionaries share with others the message that God loves them individually. They teach that the gospel of Jesus Christ blesses families and individuals. They teach that because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, God's beloved children can be liberated from the burden of guilt and pain caused by sin. They teach others our Heavenly Father's joyous plan of happiness for His children. They teach that we can return to live with our loving Father in Heaven again, as they once did, if we accept the gospel of Jesus Christ and live it. Missionaries teach that families can be together forever. They also teach many more truths. If you have more curiosity about what the missionaries teach, they are always willing and eager to share with you the love that God has for you. Show more Show less
