Hi I'm Mischa Beck

I'm a Missionary in Virginia Chesapeake! Yo hablo Español! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm the youngest of 4 children, all who have served full time LDS missions. I am currently serving a mission in Chesapeake Virginia, where I am preaching about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Spanish. I love to sing, and share my talents with those around me, as well as read and write. I ran cross country in high school, which taught me all about endurance and hard work, and I still love to run. I had a full time job before leaving on my mission and I was in my first semester of college studying to work with special needs children, and I am loving every part of it!! I live a beautiful and blessed life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because without the Gospel in my life I am miserable. I am nothing. I have had times of darkness and struggle, and I have made it through because of my knowledge of Christ's sacrifice to die for my sins. I have read the Book of Mormon and know it to be true! The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and goes hand in hand with the Bible. I have gained further knowledge and faith because of the prophets who testify of Christ in the Book of Mormon. I am a Mormon because I know that we have a living prophet today, who receives pure and needed revelation for all of us who live in these days. I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true.

How I live my faith

I am currently dedicating 18 months of my life to be a full time missionary, learning the Spanish language so that all who are willing to hear the word of God, can. I have faith everyday that the Lord will bless me and help me with the language. I attend church every Sunday and read my scriptures every night. I pray to my Father in Heaven to thank him for all that I have and ask him for help in my time of need. I fulfill church callings, like teaching class on Sundays, or visiting those who need help or someone to talk to. Before leaving on my mission I was able to serve in the temple every week. I've seen all of these things bless my life more that I could have ever imagined. Since the day I decided to be baptized when I was 8 years old, I have wanted to be a missionary, and now, here I am!!! :)

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?
