Hi I'm Haley

I've lived all across the United States. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I moved to the south when I was 11 years old. After graduating high school I began school at Brigham Young University. Two years later I am planning on serving a mission for my church in Washington.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel is centered around the things that matter most in life. When i work on these things and keep the commandments I feel Heavenly Father's love for me. When I pray, read scriptures, and follow the gospel I feel the comfort and guidance of the Holy Ghost. There are lots of things in life that can bring joy and be fun, but the only way to true and lasting happiness is through the gospel. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Growing up in the bible belt could be difficult because of my faith. Religion is a big part of a lot of peoples' lives there. There were lots of misconceptions about the church and lots of incorrect information concerning the gospel. People would always be very surprised when they found out that I was a Mormon because their notion of what Mormons do and are was so misguided. I live my faith one day at a time. It's important to love people. People can feel that love and the honesty that comes from it. After that, it's so much easier to have a positive discussion about the church with that person. Every day I pray and read the scriptures. It keeps my mind and heart close to my Father in heaven. It reminds me of what is actually important and gives me strength throughout the day.
