Hi I'm Danica Patiag

I'm a Filipina living in Singapore. I believe in eternal families. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the Philippines and I'm currently working in Singapore to earn for a living. I love dancing, it's my passion. I never had the opportunity to go to a dance school, I wasn't sure either if I was interested but I was only invited to dance in our school when I was 7 years old and from then, I kept doing it until I learned and loved it. Now, I dance a lot and I share this talent to the people at school, workplace, church, etc. I play guitar as well, I started to do it when I was 12 and I learned by myself. People call me Ms. Congeniality. I talk to people a lot, be it friends or strangers. I love socializing, I love making friends. I love sharing my smile, happiness and love to others.

Why I am a Mormon

My family and I were converts. I was baptized with my brother and mom on the 3rd of January 2004. And my dad followed on the 1st of February 2004. My dad had questions about Mormonism and thus, his friend who happened to be a member of the church visited our house with two missionaries. All of us participated in the discussions with those missionaries, attended church meetings and had a strong feeling that the message they shared are true and thus, we decided to be baptized. There was a time when my parents became inactive and my brother became less-active but that situation inspired me to learn more about the gospel for me to know how I will be able to help my family to come back to church, because I know that this church is true. The church has taught me that Heavenly Father knows and loves each of us and that Jesus Christ died for us and that He lives now. I'm happy that my whole family came back to church and that's because Heavenly Father knows the desires of our hearts, He answers our prayers and He wants us to come back to Him someday. I'm a Mormon because I know that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER.

How I live my faith

Praying, fasting, attending church and reading the scriptures are the basic yet most essential tools that I am using to live the gospel. By doing these, I received a lot of blessings in my life and gained testimony about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ which gave me a desire to share the wonderful message of the Gospel to my family and friends. In addition to that, magnifying my callings as a Young Single Adult Representative and a ward missionary gives me opportunity to serve others and help them with their needs. I know that as we learn to serve other people, we are also serving the Lord. And as we perform our responsibilities and magnify our callings, we are also helping in building Heavenly Father's kingdom. By living my faith, I know that I will be in the right path which He has prepared for me so that I can come back to His presence again someday. And this is the message that all of us here on Earth needs to hear.
