Hi I'm Larry Hardman

I grew up in Utah. I worked as a Region Manager for a national bank. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired banker, who worked as a Regional Manager with construction and mortgage lending, managing as many as 250 employees. I have a family of six children (3 boys and 3 girls) and have been blessed with 7 grandchildren. They are my joy. I enjoy watching sports, working in the garden and jeeping in southern Utah. I've always had an attraction to woodworking. In recent years I have made heirloom toys and dollhouses.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a good LDS family but had many questions about the Church when I went off to college. I finally decided to put some real effort into trying to get answers to my prayers. I read the Book of Mormon, attended Church meetings, prayed daily and tried to do things that were right. My prayers were answered and my testimony grew. As a young man, I served a 2 year mission in the state of Illinois. I testify that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth, with his priesthood blessings. This had brought great joy and happiness to myself and family. I certainly make many mistakes but am grateful to the Savior for his atoning sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I was recently released from a Bishopric (priesthood leaders for a ward) and am now preparing to serve a full time mission with my wife. We have been called to serve in the Nevada Reno mission. We are excited but also nervous. It will be very hard to leave our aging parents, children and grandchildren for 18 months but we have been blessed in our lives and feel this is the right thing to be doing.
