Hi I'm Camry Shay Hatch

I'm 19 years old and from Gilbert, Arizona. I am serving a mission in Calgary, Canada. I love the gospel and I am a happy Mormon.

About Me

I am a very happy, outgoing girl. I am so thankful for this wonderful life I was given! I am graduated from High School, and I am a licensed cosmetologist. I love to sing, play guitar, be outdoors, spend time with my family and friends, read, create and just have fun! I am about to leave for my mission in Canada so I can teach others about this wonderful Gospel that brings me so much joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this world a member of the Church of Jesus Christ a member, but my true conversion has been much more than that. I have come to learn about the Book of Mormon and Bible for myself, and had to truly gain my own testimony of this Gospel. I wouldn't be sacrificing a year and a half of my life to go teach about the gospel, if I didn't already know it for myself. Growing up in the church has been such a blessing, and I would never want anything else. It has given me the structure and guidelines I needed to be a good young woman in today's society. Being apart of this church has taught me to have values and taught me to love myself and I am very thankful for that. I am a Mormon because I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father, and a loving elder brother Jesus Christ. Christ atoned for my sins so selflessly, so that I could repent and make it back to Heavenly Father someday. I know he has felt every pain, trial or burden I have and I know that I am never alone because of this. Because of this gospel, I know that no one is perfect, but that we should strive to be the best we can, and that Heavenly Father rewards us for trying. I know the Book of Mormon to be a true book of guidelines to help me in this life. The things that it says really happened, and are there to help us. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel as a young boy so that we could have it today. I know that temples are houses of God where we can make covenants so that we can make it back again someday, and I know that if we all live righteously, we can be with our families forever. I am a Mormon because these things make me happy and feel good, and I know that it is true and right because I have prayed about it, and I know that if anyone wanted to know for themselves they could pray about it sincerely and know of the truth as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by visiting teaching, being a ward missionary, giving talks, teaching lessons, participating in church choirs, and being a president of multiple young women's groups. Doing this has taught me leadership and the values I need to have to become even stronger in the gospel. I show my faith by the way I act. I try to always be positive, kind, and uplifting to others around me to show that I am a Child of God and that they are too. I live my faith by practicing what I believe and keeping the commandments my Heavenly Father has given me so that I can have a happy, fulfilling life and make it back to him someday with my Eternal Family.
