Hi I'm Seth

I grew up in Illinois. I play many musical instruments. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As of right now, I'm an average American Youth. I've been called to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and His children in the Mexico Villhermosa mission. I was captain of my school's drumline, with many awards attributed to our drumline. I have participated in chorus, quartets, and musicals. I plan to attend the University of Utah and study Biology and Genetics. I'm the youngest of 8 kids. I spend most of my time working, going to school, and studying the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have been raised with a whole active family and parents with leadership callings. I had always gone to church mostly out of habit and obligation to parents, like many people in my situation do. But, that it is not the reason I still go. I struggled in my youth with issues that are similar to kids in and outside of the church.

How I live my faith

I am a president of our seminary class at our school, which is a class that is taught off campus to Mormon's which can be before school, or taught on a released time basis during school. I go visit the elderly in my ward every week, and seek other ways I can serve. I mostly try to live like Christ by being constantly aware if I can say hi to someone, smile, and if needed share the joy of the gospel to others.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Many talk of the need to gain the testimony that Joseph Smith is God's prophet. That is not to say we worship him. The reason why this is such a need is because when the Spirit plants something in our hearts, we know it is true, and only through the Spirit can we truly know. When we know that Joseph Smith is a prophet, we know that this whole church is the truth, that the Book of Mormon is real, and most importantly that God loves us, and has supplied a simple and perfect way to return back to Him.
