Hi I'm Sierra

I'm adopted from China. I like to read, and do anything outdoorsy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of five children, and am adopted from China. I have an older sister that is also adopted, and a brother who is special needs. One of my favorite authors is Brandon Sanderson, and I enjoy reading fiction and high fantasy. Spending time outside is one of my favorite things to do, and I dance in the rain whenever I get the chance. I particularly enjoy hiking, fishing, and stargazing. I also have a good eye when it comes to spotting game. Also, I have been called to the Fukuoka Japan Mission, and cannot wait to serve the people there.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my family. I believe that Joseph Smith received the sacred Priesthood keys that allowed me to be bound to my family on earth, and for eternity. Being a Latter-day Saint has given me knowledge of where I came from, my meaning on earth, and what is to come death. I am a woman, and a Mormon. I understand my sacred duty, and my divine worth as a daughter of God. I hope people see me the way Spencer W. Kimball described, “as distinct and different—in happy ways—from women of the world”. That even though the church may seem "unfair" to people not of our faith, that I understand what the Priesthood truly is, and I am so blessed because of it. Most importantly, I am a Mormon because I have been able to know for myself that Heavenly Father loves me, His Son Jesus Christ died for all of mankind, that Joseph Smith restored the gospel in 1830, and that President Thomas S. Monson is the current Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to religion classes at least 2 days a week, and participate in the daily readings, attendance, and writing prompts. On Sundays I go to church, and attend special ward activities. I strive to live a Christ like life, and obey all of Heavenly Father’s commandments.
