Hi I'm Spencer Shin

I am a New Yorker. I am a Korean American. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am like most teenagers out there. I love to play sports, particularly basketball and fencing. I love to read about medical research. I love doing seminary; it has literally changed my life. I am going to attend a mission this year and then attend college afterwards.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church. I am a Mormon because I found out for myself that none other Church/religion is right other than what I am part of. It was a long journey, took many years to find out. Nevertheless, the journey was worth it. Finding out the truth will take diligence, faith, and lots of trust. It will not come if you just expect answers to come out of the blue. Lots of effort needs to be put into finding the truth, and I promise you, you will find it if you are not lazy.

How I live my faith

I was relying mostly on other people's faith, just because I did not have my own testimony. There were glimpses, yea, but it was because my parents brought me to church, and told me to do certain things. It was when I joined seminary that I started to develop my own desire to really live up to the gospel. Things started to get hard, and my faith also grew along with me in times of my trials. Now, I am worthy and preparing to go on a mission that I have been called to serve, and this never would have happened had I not gained my OWN testimony.
