Hi I'm Jacob

Born and raised in Pocatello. I aspire to become an Oral Surgeon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in Idaho. Preparing to serve a Full-Time Mission in the Dominican Republic. I adore animals, and find joy in music. I love anything percussion, and especially Bass Guitar. I plan on attending college after my Mission to become an Oral Surgeon, or any other medical profession. Hopefully somewhere along the way, I meet my wife, and become a Father and Husband.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a sense of purpose and security in knowing that God is real, and that He loves me. I've found myself lost multiple times, and often would have made some different choices, were it not for that feeling of concern I get from him, just as any parent would for their child. I would not be able to push on through the Gloom and Doom were it not for the faith that I have concerning Heavenly Fathers Plan for me. I know he always has in mind what's best for us. No matter how hard the thing is that He asks us to do, it will always be worth it. We just have to trust in Him.

How I live my faith

I find security and happiness in prayer. It's my personal way to communicate directly to my Heavenly Father, and His way to talk to me. He often teaches me, calms me, encourages me, and knows me most when I am on my knees in fervent prayer. I'm always willing to help out a stranger. Whether it be through a smile, or conversation, I enjoy making other people smile. I often pause when I see someone that seems to stick out from the crowd. For me, that's the Holy Ghost telling me there's something unique or special about that person. If I continue to listen to the Spirit's promptings, he will always tell me what I can do for the person, or what that person can do for me. For that reason, I find it extremely helpful to stay quiet, observe, think, and feel multiple times throughout the day while doing my normal activities.
