Hi I'm Alicia

I am an avid lover of music. I love adventure and trying new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fourth of five siblings, and was raised in good ol' Idaho. I'm someone with a wide range of interests. I love to swim, sing, play the piano, paint, and spend time outside. I'm an old soul too, you could say. I love history, jazz, and classic old movies. I'm currently a college student studying Child Development. I love children and their sweet spirits. I'm also a future missionary and can't wait to share the glad tidings of Christ's gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace I feel when following the teachings of Jesus Christ. In being Mormon, I've witnessed a change in myself. Life can get really tough, and for a perfectionist like me, I get really down on myself when I don't quite reach the bar. However, because of Jesus Christ, it isn't about perfection; it's about progress. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a gospel of second chances, and third and fourth chances. I know that Heavenly Father loves me because He sent His Son to live and die for me, so that I could have the opportunity of returning to His presence someday. I'm a Mormon because through keeping God's commandments, I can live with my family forever. I have hope. I have happiness. I have a purpose. I have greater motivation to be the very best I can be. I have worth, and so do you. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As I study the life of Christ, I try my very best to keep Him at the front of my mind every day. With Him as my example, I have a greater motivation to serve those around me, whether it be my roommates, my siblings, other friends, or complete strangers. By helping others, I find greater happiness, and strength when times get hard. I've also had the wonderful opportunity of making many great friends with my assignment as coordinator of weekly activities for those in my ward. The Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy, and I try to share that happiness with everyone around me.
