Hi I'm Katie Borne

I am a junior at Brigham Young University-Idaho, studying Software Engineering, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a junior at Brigham Young University-Idaho, studying Software Engineering. My dream is to become a video game programmer. I have had a passion for video games since I was 4 years old. I enjoy making memories and being part of a world that is created from someone's imagination. I have been married for 5 years to the love of my life. We love to travel together. We have been to about 20 states. I love seeing different places and experiencing different cultures. I was born and raised in Texas, as was my husband! I know that life is full of adventures that are waiting to be discovered!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is a part of me. It is in my soul. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is apart of every aspect of my life. We need not forget why we are here in this life. We are here to prove ourselves to our Heavenly Father that we can obey His commandments and walk in the footsteps of our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are here to serve our fellow brothers and sisters of God. We are here to become more like Him. I am a Mormon because I believe it is the true church here on this earth, with living Prophets and Apostles. I believe Joseph Smith was a true Prophet of God, and through his faithfulness, the true gospel was restored to earth!

How I live my faith

I live my faith every single day. To me, it is not just on Sunday, it's every day of the week. I've never seen it any other way. Currently, I am the Young Women's Camp Director in our ward. There are some big shoes to fill, but I am excited to help prepare the young women in our ward for great experiences that come from Girls Camp. I enjoyed it very much the 6 years that I attended it, and I hope to bring these girls the same joy that former leaders brought to me.
