Hi I'm Ashkeya Hokanson

I am a dancer. I love serving others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a person that loves to help others as well as dance to my hearts content. I am learning to become a business major. I have traveled to different countries and have learned about their cultures and desire to learn more. I have ice skated on the Pacific Ocean, zip-lined in British Columbia, swam with dolphins, and snorkled with stingrays.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this gospel is the one thing in life that all my happiness is derived from. Without this gospel, I wouldn't be me. I was born and raised in this gospel and, because of that, I don't ever want it out of my life. Having the eternal knowledge that I have all my life has blessed me to be able to overcome every trial that I have faced. With this knowledge, I know that death is not the end. We shall see Christ and our Loving Heavenly Father again. We are eternal in every aspect of ourselves. Our loving Savior sacrificed His life for us that we might live again cleansed from sin if we but repent and lean on His Atonement. How grateful I am for this gospel that I have known, for this gospel that gives me comfort and peace in all my doings. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in various leadership roles throughout my life including different youth groups such as being Regional Dance Youth Committee President. I have also be a Young Single Adult Family Home Evening leader that helps get a group of young adults together on Monday night to participate in activities. I have also been apart of the Primary teaching our five year old's in our Ward. I have loved teach these kids! This has been one of my favorite callings to have as they have blessed my life with increasing my understanding of this gospel by going back to the basics.
