Hi I'm Linda

I'm a retired swimming teacher. I love to swim, sing and bake cakes. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a wife, a Mum and Grandma I love my life and my family. As a retired swimming teacher of over 22 years, I still like to volunteer teach the adult swimming class at my local pool. I am currently in the middle of a 250 mile sponsored swim which means I swim at least 5 miles a week to stay on target. I love big and unusual challenges, especially if it means I can help others. However, I have learned that it's not always the big things that matter. The small kind acts of service to others can matter just as much... a letter, a phone call, a visit to someone who's lonely, a hug, or simply a listening ear.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for me, just as He does for you. There is a purpose for each of us in this life, and Jesus Christ, our Saviour, is there for us as we follow Him.

How I live my faith

Just after my 17th birthday I was baptised a member of the Church. At the time, many friends wondered whether I had joined because of the influence of the Osmond family, who are also Mormons. I feel I have been able to show that my reasons to join the church were genuine, as in June I will have been an active member for 40 years. Being a member of the Church has brought me much joy, especially as I have had many opportunities to serve and help others. I love attending the Sacrament service every Sunday with my husband, children and grandchildren, and this brings me great peace. I am currently the Bible study Seminary teacher for the youth in our area. We have our classes at Church each week day morning before they go to school. I love having the opportunity to work with young people. I try and live my faith by being nice to everyone I meet, and look for ways to be kind. I love my family and truly believe that families can be together forever. This gives me great hope.
