Hi I'm Connor

I grew up in Chicago. I played rugby for and won two state championships with United Rugby Club. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Two months after I was born my family moved to Chicago, Illinois. We lived in Illinois for fifteen years. I played on the football and basketball team my freshmen and sophomore year. During my sophomore year my family moved to Utah. In Utah I played two years of Varsity football and Rugby. Besides for sports, some other things that i enjoy are writing, poetry, singing, mountain biking, and snow boarding. After I graduate from high school I will be leaving on a mission for two years. After I return from my mission I will be attending college in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can change peoples lives both here and earth and beyond this life. This Church has brought me peace and lasting happiness. I have personally knelt down and prayed and received an undeniable witness that Jesus Christ is our Savior and this is his church. This church has blessed my life in ways that I can't even begin to understand. The love of Christ has brought me strength when I faced hard times and thought I couldn't go on anymore. I know that Joseph Smith was ordained of God and restored the true church back to the earth and that our prophets today are also divinely ordained. The guidance of the prophets will always be in line with the will of the Lord. The Book of Mormon is the word of God and has given me answers to tough questions in my life. I know that this gospel is true and will change the lives of all who are willing.

How I live my faith

I serve as the first assistant to the Bishop in my ward. I conduct activities for the youth on Wednesday nights and meetings for the young men between the ages of sixteen and eighteen. I also serve on the stake youth council which is a council composed of youth from a large region that covers around eight wards. On this council I help plan activities for the youth and I was even asked to conduct a special session of stake conference for the youth. Another way I live my faith is by attending Seminary. Seminary is a program set up to help youth study the scriptures. I have seminary as one of my classes during school, but when I lived in Chicago I went to seminary before school at 5:30 am every morning.
