Hi I'm Scott Russon

I was born and raised in Utah. I love to help and spend time with people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated High School and have since been working. I'm self-employed and I'm a general laborer. I do yardwork, moving, constructing, etc for people in my city. I absolutely love working for myself and the free time that I can have. In the future I hope to be able to run my own business as a career. Right now, I'm preparing to serve a full-time LDS mission for two years. It's very exciting and I'm ready to preach the gospel. When I return I plan to attend college and receive a Bachelor's degree in Business Management.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a Mormon with my family. We went to church every week, watched General Conference, and served in our ward, and we still do. But, I couldn't just continue living like this unless I truly believed in the teachings of the gospel. It is mandatory that any member of the church has a testimony of the gospel. For me, I've had several experiences that confirmed to me the truthfulness of the Church. I know it is the only true church upon the Earth. Every time I think about it, I can feel the special spirit testify to me that it is true, it's something that everyone needs to have in order to know if it is true. When I have doubts, I search, ponder, and pray about it, and then I have the overwhelming spirit come to me again and again. Even though we may not know everything, we can rely on the spirit and our testimonies, and in time we will know all things. I personally KNOW that this gospel is real, God is real, and everything the church teaches is true. I love this gospel because it is everything to me, it explains why we are here and where we are going.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I serve as a Primary Teacher. I teach children about the gospel and help them learn more about Jesus Christ. I'm also a proud home teacher, we go each month and visit three of our ward members. During my senior year in High School, I was on seminary council. I loved working with the other members planning events and helping out. Serving in these callings is such a great blessing. I love being able to serve others.
