Hi I'm Reid Byington

My name is Reid, I am a Mormon, also known as, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; I am excited to meet you.

About Me

I am a regular person who does regular things. I like the outdoors despite the outdoors don't like me as much. I have one son that is only 2 years old, born 2014. I also have three step sons that I love. I went to College in Idaho and finished in Oklahoma. I finally got my bachelors degree in 2009 and I currently work with the school system in Saint George Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this religion for many reasons, one is because of the many great associations that I have been able to obtain over the years. We have a great church and the leadership in it is very inspiring to listen to over the pulpit and in our classes, however these things are important to all people everywhere, if a church has great people in it then there will be a congregation. However, regardless of the great people that I have been able to associate with in this institution I have come to realize the importance of ordnances, these are sacred performances done by those who have been given the Priesthood of God. I know that families can be sealed to each other in a temple and that the family unit can continue into the next life. Being with my family is perhaps one of my greatest motivations for living a clean life, by doing this I know that I will be worthy of all of the promises that are offered to those that are sealed in the temple. If anyone might not fully understand what it is that I am saying, I would urge you to talk to the missionaries. They will be able to answer any question that you may have. Your Friend, Reid

How I live my faith

I try to be consistant in the things that I do. There are many things that we are asked to do in our religion and the main thing that we are asked to do is fulfill assignments for our church both inside and out. The biggest assignment that I have been asked to fill was when I was asked to go on a mission to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who wanted to learn about this message. Even though this assignment was for two long years I never thought to myself that I didn't want to be there. When I was serving in that assignment I felt the approval of the Lord, that his hand was in it. I served in the Utah Ogden Mission among a large population of Mormons. The members of our religion were very kind and helpful. Because of there love and compassion for their religion they were able to help others see that this was a religion that anyone could live. I know of know sweeter time in my life then then I was helping people learn that revelation is not dead, that God still speaks to people today and will lead them to the paths of truth. I know that God has directed my life through the Holy Ghost and that others are entitled to this help too if they will seek the truth. I urge all people to explore the Book of Mormon and ask God if this book is really true. God will make it known to you through your feelings. That's how the Holy Ghost works, he convinces us to act upon our feelings and commitments. I hope that this helps anyone who might read this. Your friend, Reid
