Hi I'm Duane Roberts

I grew up in Wyoming's Big Horn Basin country. I'm a film producer, broadcaster, educator, and father of seven. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like sports, both team and individual. I have a PhD. in Instructional Technology. I taught university courses in Media Production, Mass Communications, and Public Relations. I have lived and traveled in most of Asia, Europe, and the US and Canada. People and their personal stories interest me greatly.

Why I am a Mormon

I am very happy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). I have learned throughout my life that looking at the needs of others brings great joy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the light in my life. It provides clarification and understanding of those things which threaten me or seek to bring darkness into my life. I know from personal experience that Jesus Christ is our anchor in storm and provider of peace in all things. I trust the Lord even when I don't trust myself or others. By following His path, I have seen how lives change for the better when we honestly seek His face; when we sincerely ask Him for a helping hand, for ourselves or for others. My faith has carried me through war and through peace. Life is truly good.

How I live my faith

I spend most of my "retired" time with my family and friends. Just being together, enjoying life brings me great joy. My church service includes visiting families in my community and helping them meet life's challenges and opportunities. My wife and I have taught English in China, young single adults in Rome, and tutored children and adults in reading, writing, and oral communication skills.
