Hi I'm Ashley Stevenson

I'm a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a friend, a student, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Idaho but grew up in Arizona, Wisconsin, and Utah. I am currently a student and hoping to become a medical assistant. I have two brothers and two sisters. I love photography, movies, food, running, soccer, hiking, biking, and camping. I try to live life to the fullest and spend as much time as I can with loved ones. I enjoy learning new things and meeting new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church with my family who are all active members. Ever since I was little my family has told me the church was true and that God was real but I didn’t know for myself. One day in High School I decided that I really needed to find out for myself if this church was true and if God was real. I prayed and I read my scriptures. I will never forget the feeling I had when I knew that I had a Father in Heaven and that this is the true church on the earth today. I know that God is real. I know that he cares for me and knows each any every one of us by name. The death of my brother was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to go through but knowing that families can be together forever has brought me so much peace. I know that I will be able to see my love ones again some day. I love going to church and learning about the gospel. I love how much service the church does for others because I love helping others who are in need of it. I am Mormon because this church has blessed my life and I can't imagine living without it.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite callings was when I was Service Compassionate Coordinator in my ward. I was able to help anyone that needed it. I have also worked in several callings with the kids. They have such a sweet spirit and not only was I able to teach them about the gospel but they were able to teach me. I keep my faith by going to church every Sunday and attending all the meetings. I live my faith by attending the temple and strengthening my relationship with my Father in Heaven. I live my faith by reading my scriptures and praying daily. I live my faith by doing my best to follow the example of my Savior Jesus Christ. Being like Christ and setting an example for others can really show who we really are as Latter-Day Saints. Jesus Christ was the greatest example to follow and we should all strive to be like him everyday.
