Hi I'm McKay Williams

I grew up in California. I'm an actor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have gone to one semester of college, I love painting, and I am going to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a in high school I experience unhappiness and darkness. I was lost and did not know where to turn for peace, for happiness, for relief. Then one night my dad pleaded with me to pray to God for help and for forgiveness. As I prayed I felt the love of God rush over me and fill my soul with indescribable emotion and peace. It was at that moment that I knew God lives and is aware of my circumstance and loves me more than I can even comprehend. It was at that moment I realized that I had a Savior who suffered and died for me on the cross and that he still lives today to lift my heavy burdens and bring me home to Him one day. I am a Mormon because it gives me peace in every circumstance and I truly believe that by continuing to live the principles taught by Christ in His church, that I will one day be with my family forever. And that makes me really happy.

How I live my faith

My last calling in the ward was that of a Youth Family History Consultant, I love genealogy. I love to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and speak about my faith with others and learn about them.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

McKay Williams
Although we can not understand everything about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, what we do know is that He suffered in the garden of Gethsemane and was then slain on the cross for our sins, pains, afflictions and everything unfair that would ever happen to any human being. It was necessary for Jesus to be the one to atone for our sins because He was the only one that could withstand the pain and pressure that came from all of our sins. In Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5 we read "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Only through Jesus Christ's Atonement are we all able to repent and come unto our Heavenly Father in sincere prayer. Show more Show less
