Hi I'm Danna Jensine

I'm a Filipina, a Teacher, a Missionary and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 4th out of 5 children. I am currently serving in the Utah St. George Mission. I am the first missionary in the family. I love doing service and reaching out to little kids. I wanted to be in the medical field ever since I was young but after High School, I received an opportunity to be in a different field and studied Accounting in College for 3 years. I lost interest in school and wanted to work. I was qualified to be an English Teacher for Korean students and I loved teaching ever since then. I plan to pursue teaching young children with mental disabilities and see their great potential as a child of God.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom grew up in the church and brought her children to the knowledge of the gospel and tried to apply it's teachings. Growing up in the church was a rough experience (at least for me). My family had times when we were discouraged and weakened our faith in the Savior specially during my teen years but close family relatives showed us God's light and love through example. When I reached the age 18, I had the desire to serve a mission for the church but parents were against it. Having that desire to serve the Lord, I lost interest in school and made my priority in preparing to serve as a missionary and I participated mostly in activities and classes in institute. My desire to serve a mission grew and grew and decided to work to save money to support my mission funds. I was working for half a year when unfortunately, my mom was declared with cancer. I also grew up family-oriented meaning that I put my family first before anything else and so I stopped working for my mission funds but to support my mom. After surgeries, she was needed to attend multiple therapies to stop the disease in spreading all over her body. Despite of all these things, I still knew I needed to be on a mission but couldn't leave with the family's situation but I also know that God do listen to us and answer our prayers and do bless us with His love and mercy. I know Heavenly Father loves each and everyone of us and He will always provide and perform miracles. After 2 years of battling, my mom received a remission from cancer and made it possible for me to serve as a missionary. Sacrificing just an ample of my time in return for the greatest miracle He performed. His infinite sacrifice, love and mercy that continuously shower on us.

How I live my faith

I am serving the Lord with great efforts of sharing it to other people. I always try to live the gospel and the teachings of the Savior in my life. I value family most and let people see and realize the importance of families in our lives. Growing, learning and trying to improve continually with the Savior's help. I taught Gospel Principles class in my home ward which teaches the basics foundations and beliefs of the church to people or nonmembers to gain and receive eternal blessings for families and knowing the plan Heavenly Father has for His children and now serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
