Hi I'm Richard F. Schwieger

I was born and raised in Southern California-Los Angeles area. I served a mission in South Korea and I'm now retired.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California-Los Angeles. I was baptized a member of our church when I was 17 and served a mission in South Korea at age 19. I am married and have four children. I love the outdoors, camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, and all sports. I am a member of the Boy Scouts of America.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the church by a girlfriend in High School. Her family was a great example of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe the church has something to offer no matter your age or circumstance. I love that the church teaches the importance of eternal families, faith, obedience, and service to others. Membership in the church has helped me be a better person, husband, and father.

How I live my faith

Although I'm not perfect, I try to be obedient to the commandments. I try to serve others at church and the community whenever I see a need. I have served in the community as a high school coach where I hope I was able to mentor young men by teaching discipline, ethics, and hard work. I have been active with the young men in the church by serving as a scout leader and mentoring young men to serve and live the scout oath and law.
