Hi I'm Colleen

I grew up in Idaho. I love to dance. I've been called to serve in the New Zealand Hamilton mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah but raised in Idaho. I am half Tongan and half Caucasian and have been blessed with the best of both worlds. I love to hula dance and have been dancing since the age of six. Dancing will always be a huge part of my life. I love that I can share a part of my culture with others through it. I am the youngest of a family of six and I love my family more than anything in this world! After graduating High School, I moved to Utah to attend college and majored in Business. I am excited for the next chapter of my life as I am preparing to serve the Lord for the next 18 months in the New Zealand Hamilton mission. YAY!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and now being 19 years old I still to this day cannot deny how true this Gospel is. People always ask, "Why are you always so happy?" The answer is simple, I am so happy because of this marvelous Gospel! Through the hardest times in my life I have felt my Savior's love. Through the times that I have fallen short of my standards he carried me. There is not a time in my life where I have ever felt alone. He is there and He is listening. I know that our Savior lives and loves with an indescribable love. I live knowing that I have a purpose. I live knowing that I will be able to live with my family for all time and eternity. I live with standards that help me and shape me into the person that I know I should be. I know that this Church is the true church today and I cannot deny it because I have felt things through my life that I know came from God. I love living in a church that is the same everywhere you go and is so welcoming. I would not be who I am today without the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try and be the best person I can be each day. I strive to be the person that God created me to be. As I prepare to serve a mission I realize that the best way I live my faith is by sharing it! If you had something that was so special to you and you knew that the people in your life could benefit from it too, would you keep it a secret? NO WAY! That's how I feel about this church. There is no way I can deny the special feelings and teachings I have felt being a member of this glorious Gospel. Living my faith is not a hard thing to do. Once a habit, it becomes so natural to follow God's commandments and live the way He would want me to live. Faith in God and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is easy to recognize because it is true. I have never felt so strongly about something in my entire life. Without my faith and this Church I would not be who I am today.
