Hi I'm Megan

I am a student. I am an adventure-seeker. I am a convert. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a student at BYU-Idaho majoring in Communication with an Emphasis in Public Relations and planning to minor in either English or Sociology. I will hopefully attend Law School after I graduate, but that won't be for a bit because I am currently preparing to serve a mission! I have been called to the Lima Peru East Mission and will report in June of 2016! I couldn't be more excited to serve! I really enjoy finding adventures and trying new things! I am usually on feet out and about, but when I am at home I like to read, write, draw, and most importantly jam to some good tunes! Music is my favorite art form out there and I love at least something from every genre.

Why I am a Mormon

I never was religious or believed in anything until my senior year of high school. Before that, I thought maybe there was something out there, but it seemed a lot easier to me to just follow my peers and not care. By the end of my junior year, I was really thinking about the future, however, and decided to see if I believed in God and Jesus Christ, so I read the Holy Bible and began praying. From there, I gained a faith and tried church, only to not really feel much except that something had to be missing. So, I read the Book of Mormon and found out that set of scriptures was the missing piece! I was so much more happy and becoming a better person through faith, so I started to take lessons with the missionaries and going to the LDS (Mormon) Church, but not alone: with my whole family! We got baptized together and in December of 2015, we became an eternal family! now I am preparing to serve a mission myself and am so excited because I know there things to be true! I cannot wait to help my brothers and sisters in Peru find the same happiness that I have found in the truths of the Restored Gospel!

How I live my faith

I live my faith through acting on my faith! Whenever I see someone in need, I always try to help, whether it's something little like helping them carry groceries or something larger like they are hurt. I think that living my faith is the best way I can really be an example to others as well as continue to improve myself and become more like Jesus Christ! Another way I act on my faith is through teaching others in different callings, or even just out and about. When someone news asks me about myself, the first and most important thing I will say is that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
