Hi I'm Justin

I grew up on a small ranch in Utah. I enjoy the outdoors, training horses, and being around family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived my whole life in a small town enjoying the life of herding and feeding cows, processing hay and driving tractors. Some of my fondest memories have been made with my dad in a pickup truck or on horseback checking cows and talking about anything from cow prices to politics to the weather. Training horses has brought me lots of joy and taught me bunches of life lessons. I have been raised working hard and waking up early to do the chores and then rushing off to school, and then to come home and go about the farm life. I am currently serving in the California Oakland/San Francisco Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I wanted to know which church God wanted me to be a part of and I prayed. The scriptures in James 1:5 tell us to ask of God, and when I did this I knew that this was His church established once again in it's fullness upon the earth today. Even though I was raised in the church I still had to find out for myself if this was the right church for me, and that process of coming to know was through study, pondering and prayer. As a teen it is easy to go wayward but through repentance and sincere heartfelt prayer and studying, I now know that this is His church, I know that He has called a prophet to lead and guide us through the trials and tribulations of our day and age. I know that our Heavenly Father loves and knows each of us and that He is very much aware of our individual circumstances and has provided us with many ways to overcome our trials. Some of these ways are family, friends, the Gospel, church leaders, and of course our Savior. Our Lord paid the penalty of sin for each of us and if we turn our heart to Him and desire to change, He can heal us and bring us peace. I know that because of Him and temples that we can have our families forever that our relationships can carry on throughout eternity, and this is something I know to be true!

How I live my faith

Living on a ranch allows me to stand in awe at Gods beautiful land and the beauties of life, I get to see anything from a brand new baby calf to the majestic view of the mountains and valleys. I am involved in service for others whenever ranch work permits and so I am able to help the neighbors split fire wood, weed their gardens, or just sit and talk with them about their lives and that one has got to be my favorite, I especially like hearing their testimonies of the Savior Jesus Christ. Service among my fellowmen has got to be my all time favorite thing, my parents raised me helping everyone around me and looking for little ways to make peoples day or just to do service that goes completely unnoticed. Serving a mission has given me the opportunity to see others find the Joy of knowing about the love that Jesus Christ has for each and every one of us on a personal basis and seeing their eyes light up when they find that marriage and families can be eternal. The gospel can bless anyone's life when they apply it!
