Hi I'm Kalli Jackson

I grew up all over the United States but mostly in Utah. I am a musician. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I can remember music has been a major part of my life. From a young age I would go around my house belting out various songs. I first started taking piano lessons and then my parents decided to put me in singing lessons. That is when I discovered my passion. I have had some amazing opportunities because of music. I was able to record a CD with Marvin Goldstein that consisted of church songs and inspirational songs. I also was able to tour the Middle East for three weeks and participate in peace concerts. Ultimately I believe that music is a universal language and because of it we can all feel similar emotions no matter what our background or culture may be. I also believe that the spirit can speak to us through music. Along with singing I also enjoy playing the piano, the guitar and the Ukulele. I had the opportunity to attend BYU-Hawaii for a year and there I was able to learn the Ukulele. Along with music I enjoy going to the beach, traveling with my family, reading, baking, snowboarding, hiking and swimming.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been lucky enough to be born into this church and to have had the knowledge of the gospel my whole life. I continue to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because it has brings true happiness. I have a strong testimony of Christ's atoning sacrifice for us. Because of it I can be made clean and pure each day as I utilize his atonement in my life. Because of it we have the chance at a clean slate and I don't think that there is a greater gift in this life than that. I also know that the late prophet Joseph Smith truly was called of God and foreordained to restore The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on this earth. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of the Holy Ghost because I know he couldn't have possible written it or translated it without the help of Heavenly Father and the spirit. I know the Book of Mormon to be true. I have read it and have felt of it's power. It truly can help us in our lives and there are countless amount of lessons we can learn from it. It truly is the keystone of our religion. Lastly I know that our current prophet, Thomas S. Monson, is a prophet of God and that he receives revelation from God for us. I am grateful to be a member of this church and I can honestly say I don't know who or where I would be without it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do the little things to serve those around me. I live my faith by participating in my local church activities and I strive to do participate with full efforts. I also live my faith by sharing my thoughts and feelings with others in my meetings.
