Hi I'm Sophie Pearson

I am from Texas. I have been called to serve a mission in El Salvador/ Belize. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and grew up in Texas, but I am currently going to school at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love playing soccer, running, and hanging out with my friends. I have recently been called to serve a mission in the El Salvador San Salvador west/ Belize Mission, and I cannot wait!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. The reason I have continued to be a member of this church my whole life is because of the joy the gospel brings me in my life. I have learned through personal experiences that Jesus Christ is my Savior and can comfort me in my time of need. I know that He loves me and wants what is best for me. I find comfort knowing that I can be forgiven of my sins through Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Within my ward I help plan for my Family Home Evening group, which is a group of students that meets once a week and does fun activities.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

Sophie Pearson
Our church serves all around the world. Most just think that we send missionaries all over, but we do so much more. Latter-day Saint charities helps countries that have just been affected by natural disasters. They do this by providing cleanup services, food, water, shelter, medical supplies and much more, and they do this all for free. Show more Show less
