Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in California. I'm the father of ten children and 29 grandchildren. I'm a retired military man. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. At age 19, I was called to serve a two year Full-Time Mission for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon). Afterwards, I joined the United States Air Force and served as a Foreign Affairs Officer. I lived/traveled in many countries and enjoyed my service in the military. I retired after 24 years on active duty. I have been privileged to be married to two wonderful women. Sadly, my first wife passed away suddenly after 15 years of marriage, and I was a single parent with seven children for the next 6 years. I was fortunate to find another sweet companion, and we have been married now for more than 27 years. I am proud to be the father of 10 children and 29 grandchildren. Today, my wife and I are blessed to live in a beautiful home nestled in a peaceful agricultural mountain valley located in Central Utah, USA. For the sake of our animals, we cultivate, we plant, we irrigate, we grow, we feed and we raise. Our property is actually located on county lands (not in a town), and we are surrounded by open farmlands. Our valley has a rich and celebrated pioneer heritage. Our summer months are filled with community sponsored memorial events, festivals, parades, and rodeos. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I am fortunate to have been born into “a Latter-day Saint home.” In my youth, we were active members of the church. Our family came from a rich heritage of pioneer ancestors who were converted in the 1800s during the early days of the Restoration of the Lord’s Church on the earth. They received the good news of the restoration while living in their native countries of England, Scotland, and the Netherlands; and, they came to America in response to a call from the Prophet of God. I grew up believing that we are all spirit children of our Heavenly Father and we lived with Him before our birth. We loved Him, and I knew He loved us. This was the foundation of my testimony and the reason I’m a Mormon. However, my youthful testimony of the church matured and strengthened as I began to study the holy scriptures and pray for understanding. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, I know that God loves me. I also have a testimony of the pure love, mercy, and divine nature of Jesus Christ. I have come to know that Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God (our Heavenly Father), and His only begotten in the flesh. Jesus Christ is our redeemer and Savior. By following His teachings and example, we will gain Eternal Happiness in this life and beyond. Reading the holy scriptures and praying for understanding has also given me an understanding of our Heavenly Father’s Eternal Plan of Salvation, the Great Plan of Happiness. I am still excited about this and want to know more. I believe that because of Jesus Christ, all mankind will be resurrected and will stand before Him to be judged according to our faithfulness. Jesus Christ is all merciful and all loving, but still we are all unworthy (to some degree) of His forgiveness and mercy. So, what He asks of us is that we exercise Faith in Him, repent honestly of our sins, be baptized by one of His authorized servants, and continue in a life of righteousness. This is His Doctrine and our plan of happiness.

How I live my faith

In my heart, I’m just a Mormon boy with a testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and the restored Gospel. I own a small computer repair business and interactive with good people every day. I actively serve as a Temple ordinance Worker; but, my wife and I have recently received a call to serve as a Full-Time Senior Missionary Couple for the Church. I live an extraordinary and enjoyable life.
