Hi I'm Meleloukalesia Fifita

I am Tongan. I love my family and my friends who become family. I love random dancing. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am CALI raised, Tongan at heart, and now Utah living. I am a college student hoping to make something of myself to better able myself to help all those who've supported me growing up, to help others around me, and to create a better foundation for my future family. GOD, FAMILY, and my CULTURE are the three most important things in my life. God has blessed me with talents such as playing the piano, playing basketball and dancing. My family has supported me and helped me develop those talents. My culture has taught me to always thank God for the talents I am blessed with. I love being that awkward person at a dance who dances goofy so that everyone knows it's about having fun and not always about looking good. I LOVE MY FAMILY with everything I have even though I may not show it enough. I love my DAD who has taught me to see the importance of Women in the work of the Lord and I love my MOM who taught me to see the potential in others and see people for what they can become. GOD, FAMILY and my CULTURE lay the best foundation for me here in this crazy world. I am not perfect, but I try to be better today than I was yesterday.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings, joy and happiness that come from living the gospel. I have seen the blessings that come from living the teachings I read in the Book of Mormon. Teachings that were preserved for my benefit and the benefit of all those who will read and liken its teachings unto them as taught by Isaiah in the Bible. I have seen the blessings that come when following the Prophet and the leaders of the Church; none of which are perfect, but each are perfectly dedicated to helping my, and anyone who will follow, achieve the goal of returning to live with Heavenly Father. Choosing to be a Mormon was a choice I had to make for myself. It took time and a lot of searching the scriptures and praying and waiting for Heavenly Father's answer. I am probably the most indecisive person you will ever meet. BUT, I know for sure that being a Mormon is one of the greatest blessings to ever happen for me living in today's generation in a world of constantly changing standards and values. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and He loves each of His children. I know He is willing to answer our questions and He is willing to guide us and help make the best decisions possible for us if we humble ourselves and ask Him in sincere prayer. I know He is ready to listen and ready to answer us because He listens to me and answers my life questions on a daily.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by turning outward in service to others and turning upward in prayer to my Heavenly Father. I have found that turning outward and upward is the best way to enjoy the good things happening in life. Serving others in gratitude and saying a prayer of thanks for the good things is an exercise of faith showing Heavenly Father that I am able to enjoy these good things because of Him. Turning outward and upward is also the best way to get through the worst struggles in life. By serving others, I am able to forget myself and my struggles and I am able to allow myself to put my faith and trust in Heavenly Father's plan. Coming to Him in prayer is like the "cherry on top" showing Heavenly Father that I do believe and have complete Faith that He has a plan for me. Often times I don't know what to do with myself, and when I find myself lost or unsure, I know turning outward in service to others and turning upward to Heavenly Father is the next best step for me to take at any point in my life.
