Hi I'm Camille

I love the arts. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy college student from Utah. I love music, learning, and connecting with other people. I have grown up watching and performing theater. I love the outdoors, especially camping. I enjoy traveling, although I do not travel as much as I would like to. Some of my favorite places I have visited are New York City, Fiji, Washington D.C., Hawaii, Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon, and Washington State. I would love to work with kids after I graduate.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I want to follow Him. My parents are both members of the church and so I was raised as a member. I learned about the gospel from a very young age, however, I still had to gain my testimony of the church on my own. I feel like I have known, or at least believed that the church is true from a young age. But there have been a few times where I have just needed to pray to God and ask Him important questions such as, "Are you really there? Do you love me? Does Jesus Christ live? Did Jesus atone for the sins of the world? Was Joseph Smith a prophet of God? Is this the true church? Is the Book of Mormon true scripture?" And every time I ask God these questions I am filled with His spirit and I know that these things are true. I know that God is there and that He loves me. I know that Jesus Christ lives, that He is the son of God, and that he atoned for the sins of the world, including mine. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, called to restore Christ's church to the earth. I know that this is the true church and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. The gospel means the world to me. It affects my life every single day. I know that I can live with my loved ones who have passed away again. I know that God has a plan for me; a plan where I will become so much more than I can even imagine. God cares. I love the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying the life of Jesus Christ and trying to become more like Him. I read my scriptures every day, pray, and attend church once a week. I love to discuss religion with my friends. I am preparing to serve a mission for 18 months where I will give up my time and leave everything behind to serve my Savior. I leave on June 8, 2016 to serve my mission in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I could not be more excited!
