Hi I'm Kendra Morris

I'm a college student. I'm the middle child of five and I'M a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying child development with a minor in psychology. I am the middle child of five children. Three brothers and one sister. I grew up in a small town then moved to a big city. I love to sing, act, be outdoors, and being with Friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. Although I grew up being Mormon this is my conversion story. When I was eleven I was bullied in school and in church. I hated going to school and church it hurt too much. Why was this happening to me? But every week I went to church and my mother would sit with me before we went and we would pray. I would pray for guardian angels to help me through the day. Although the bulling didn’t stop God protected my heart, he allowed me to handle it and not get so deeply hurt. During this time I came to see God as my friend. I would pray and tell him all the bad things that had happened and I could feel his peace and love. He soon answered my prayers I went to a different Jr high then those girls and God sent me my best friend, who helped me gain back my self-confidence and helped me see my worth. During this I also read the book of Mormon the whole way through for the first time. When I finished I did as Moroni directed I got on my knees and prayed and asked God if it was true. There was no pillar of light, there was no angel but there was a warm peace that flooded through my body. In that moment I knew and I still know that the book of Mormon is the word of God and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s true and everlasting church that has been restored in our time.

How I live my faith

I am currently the second councilor in my singles ward relief society presidency. I go to church every Sunday and participate in meetings and FHE on Mondays. I visit teach two girls in my YSA ward.
