Hi I'm Sam

I'm from Utah. I'm a psychology student and have a love for books, yoga, and shrimp tacos. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and serving in the Indiana Indianapolis mission! I love serving the Lord and the wonderful Colts fans! Previously, I was a student at the University of Utah, and was double majoring in Psych and Human Development and Family Studies. I've done multiple internships in clinical child psychology and early education and would love to put my degree to use in that field (after A LOT of grad work in the future)! In my free time I enjoy playing the piano, hiking, spending time with my family, and doing volunteer work. You can often find me catching up on the latest sports game, taking a yoga class, or singing 80s and Broadway songs around the house.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a peace that comes in following the gospel of Jesus Christ that I haven't found anywhere else. He lives, and His teachings help me become the person I want to be, and help me understand I (and every single one of us) are of great worth to Him. His plan gives me a sense of purpose- a worthwhile goal to strive for in this life, and all that He asks to accomplish this is simply to follow Him. I know it, I live it, I LOVE it :)

How I live my faith

I love actively participating in my callings in my ward. In the past, I've worked alongside my peers in teaching positions, as well as planned summer events for the youth in my ward. Even though my callings might seem like minuscule jobs compared to others, it is still an important contribution. Everyone can make a difference in their ward whether they help with the infants in the nursery or are in a big leadership position.
