Hi I'm Asia

I grew up in California and was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints, now I am serving a mission.

About Me

I am nineteen years old and serving a mission in Taipei Taiwan. I love to sing and dance and spend time with my family and friends. I love my Heavenly Father, and my Savior who is God's son and my elder brother.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon. I faithfully go to church every Sunday and try to live my life as Christ did. I get asked very often how I could live the Church's standards because some are very strict, but my response is always this: I have witnessed that as you faithfully follow them, you will recognize the great blessings that come with holding these standards. I look around at all the members of the Church, and notice how each individual strives to live such righteous lives at all times. In the church, you will notice how often they stress the importance of raising a righteous family and having only good intentions of the future because they recognize the true importance of it. I love how as I go throughout my day, I am able to feel the Holy Spirit's constant companionship with me as I strive to live like Christ and follow his teachings. I know that praying daily and constant scripture study will lead to a strong relationship with our Father in Heaven. Understanding that God has a plan for each of us brings so much comfort; faithfully living in the now and harkening to the Spirit's promptings will bring much hope and joy, whereas worrying about the future can harbor pain and fear because often times, our plan is not God's plan. I know that as we live in the now and go through trials, keeping the mindset that "everything will work out" brings so much hope and makes it easier to recognize how involved God is in each of our lives. Worldly things bring temporary hapiness, but spiritual things will bring you eternal hapiness.I know that Temples on this earth is God's house, and that we can be sealed to our spouse and families for time and all eternity. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has undoubtedly brought me eternal hapiness. I am a Mormon, and I love it.

How I live my faith

I am very involved in my church, I've received callings to be a teacher in Gospel Principles and a teacher's assistant in Young Womens. In the Gospel Principle's class, I taught a class of those investigating the church. When I was a teacher's assistant in Young Womens-a program where girls between the ages of 12 and 18 come together and learn how to be a righteous folllower of God and learn how to fulfill her roles as a mother and wife when they get married-I would teach once a month and help the leaders in the program with lessons and activities. I've also been involved in Youth Girl's Camp and was a YCL-Youth Camp Leader- for three years.
