Hi I'm Jace Hirzel

I love sports, I love my family, and I love hanging out with friends. I am a missionary in Washington D.C.

About Me

I enjoy basically every single sport there is. If you can play it, I love it. My favorite part about sports is pushing yourself to work hard, and to never give up. I also love that sports teaches lessons that you can apply to real life, from hard work, to sacrifices, to working as a team. My favorite sports are football, and track and field. I am the second oldest child in my family, the oldest boy. My family means the world to me, I love them so much. I also love my friends, they are my second family. Friendship means a lot to me, and I have been blessed with some awesome friends. They are great examples to me, and we all have a ton of fun together. Whenever I have the opportunity to be with them, I take it. From wakeboarding, to just hanging out, there is never a dull moment.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. The truth that the restored gospel brings into my life fills it with peace, love, and hope. Without the knowledge that comes from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I don't know where I would be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the example of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed with so many wonderful things in my life. One of, if not the most wonderful thing is the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love how we can use the gospel and Atonement of Jesus Christ to better ourselves, and become more like the Savior. I know that when I exercise my faith in the Savior, repent, and continue trying to live the gospel, it helps me to be happy. One of my favorite ways to live my faith is to read out of the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. The strength that it gives me each and every day is amazing.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jace Hirzel
The atonement of Jesus Christ was the sacrifice that Jesus made for all of us. He willingly scarified himself so that we all may live with him again. This was necessary because without it, we could not live in God's presence again, because we needed someone to atone for all of man's mistakes. No unclean thing can live with God, so because of the atonement, we can repent of all our sins and be made clean again to live and bask in God's presence after we move on from this life.
