Hi I'm Chase

I am a sophomore in college studying Speech Therapy. I love to play volleyball, read, write, and paint. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am from a family of 7 and the second oldest child. I am currently in college studying to become a Speech Therapist. I am also on my school's club volleyball team and love to compete. I have a lot of interests that keep me busy along with my studies and sports. I love to paint and draw, especially anything from nature. I love to longboard and skateboard around my campus and in between classes. I am an avid reader and love to keep a journal of all my thoughts and experiences through out my week. I've started learning how to play the ukulele and love going to the beach. I also love to travel. I've been to many places in the US and a few cities in Europe, and I hope to continue traveling and exploring the world for my entire life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all of my life. I am a Mormon because of my conversion as a junior in high school. At the time, I was experiencing many personal trials and was in a state of depression. I turned to God because I felt like I had no one else to talk to. I turned to my scriptures and I tried to read the Bible or the Book of Mormon everyday. I prayed for comfort and guidance. In time, slowly but surely, I came to know my Father in Heaven and Christ on a personal level and I feel in love with His gospel and teachings. I found my joy through Christ's gospel and living by His example. I have a deep love and admiration for the scriptures and prayer. I love how I can turn to God and Christ and pour out my struggles and frustrations. They will listen to the burdens of my heart and speak sweet peace until my soul. I know that through Christ and His sacrifice that He knows exactly how I feel and that with him, I am never truly alone in this life. I may have been born a member of the Church, but it is through this experience that I have been converted to the gospel of Christ. I am a Mormon because I love Christ and His teachings, and through Him I can find joy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by trying to be the best person I can be. I try to follow Christ's example to the best of my abilities and be an example of how He lived His life. I love to study the Bible and the Book of Mormon. They truly help me grow to understand and love my Savior more and more each time I read.
