Hi I'm Zachary

I grew up in Springville, Utah. I love Refereeing and coaching sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love athletics and competition. I played basketball and football in high school, but now that I am graduated I live for the intramural sports provided by Utah Valley University. I work at the Provo Marriott Hotel as a Bellman. I absolutely love it because I get to interact with people from all over the world and listen to their stories. Not only that, but I get the pleasure of working with my mom. In recent events, I will be serving my mission in Harare, Zimbabwe departing June 2nd.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up Mormon my entire life. Almost all of my friends have grown up Mormon as well. And as we get older it's sad to see people I love fall away because they just stop doing the things they were doing as kids i.e. reading scriptures, saying prayers, attending meetings and seminary, living the commandments, etc. However, I've made the decision to continue to live and follow the LDS standards because I have seen in my life how it makes me happy. Understanding Jesus Christ's Atonement and what it can do for me gives me so much hope for the future and gives me the confidence to continue in life with a positive attitude, even after I have messed up. But the number one reason why I continue to be Mormon is the promise that I have the opportunity to be with my family together forever after this earthly life is over.

How I live my faith

I live in one of the most LDS saturated parts of the world here in Springville, Utah. But I couldn't ask for a better place to have been raised by my family. My dad and I are home teaching companions and he has strengthened my testimony by sharing it with the family that we teach. In High School I served for a year on a youth counsel, which consisted of planning dances, campouts, and activities for all the youth in the surrounding area. I currently do not have any callings or assignments because I am preparing to serve the Lord and people of Zimbabwe which I can not wait for!
