Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in St. George, Utah. I love to invent and innovate, and I am as passionate about science as I am sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up playing soccer and loving to learn. As I grew older, my interests in both school and soccer grew, but I soon found science to be my outlet for my curiosity. I spent my high school years doing dedicated research and development for several different projects and inventions of mine, most pertaining to the field of photovoltaics, or, solar technology. I traveled the country presenting and pitching my products and research and even was lucky enough to qualify for the Intel International Science fair, as well as being one of five finalists in the world in a global innovation and entrepreneurship competition. I have met or collaborated with the creators of Shark tank, the Mythbusters, the president of the EPA, the inventor of the internet, many astronauts, and world renowned scientists. I graduated from high school with both an Associates Degree of Science and my High School Diploma. All while enjoying the fun of playing for my high school soccer team and spending time with friends. I currently am a college student studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I truly believe in the results of my diligence and faith. I have loved seeing not only my own personal growth but the growth of those I love because of the goodness taught and condoned by the LDS faith. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know whether it was true, and felt the holy spirit confirm that fact to me. I believe in Christ and in his perfect example, and I love being Mormon because I get to follow that example and even participate in the same ordinances that Christ established long ago. I am a Mormon because I come closer to God each and every day, and I have truly felt what it means to be forgiven and to repent and utilize the Saviors atonement. Nothing is better than knowing that I am a child of God, and that even though I am not perfect, I can be perfected through Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating it and by implementing its teaching in my life. I live my faith by exploring the scriptures and praying when I have questions in my life that I need answers for. I live my faith by attending church meetings each week, by being involved in church events and volunteering to teach others my age during Sunday School. I love being able to teach and I always learn so much from preparing a lesson for others. I live my faith by showing its effect on me through kindness and love towards others and through that same love and kindness to my family. Each day I try to do a little better at the simple things, like keeping the commandments, reading scripture, and saying daily prayers in private and with my family, and every day I see the blessings from doing so. I live my faith by letting my faith live through me!
