Hi I'm Lexi Cramer

I'm grew up in California. I went from Hawaii to Utah. I love Chocolate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 20 years old and I love to do crafts. I love to sing and play the guitar. I am currently attending college to earn a degree in English Education so I can teach High School . I want to be a positive influence in the lives of youth. I work two jobs to be able to pay my way through school. In the small amount of free time I can find I like to read, hike, camp, sing, craft and be with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I was born into a Mormon family and grew up going to church each Sunday. I have always loved the church and believed in it. My first semester of college I went across the ocean to a college in Hawaii. I remember getting there and thinking to myself, I don't know anyone; I can be anyone I want too be. This allowed me to really decide who I wanted to be. And as I thought about this I knew in my heart I wanted to be the best person I could be. I wanted to follow Jesus Christ and be an example to those around me. I wanted to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I realized because it simply makes me happy. That simple happiness grows into so much more as I recognize all of the blessings that being a member of this church has given me. I know the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. I know that Families can be together forever through the blessings of the Temple which is a house of the Lord. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ back to this earth and that he was and is a Prophet. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a Prophet of God and that he receives revelation for us, God's children. I know that as I continue to do my best, I will be blessed and strengthened with the things I need in this Life.

How I live my faith

I attend a school that encourages me to live my faith each day. Each week I attend Church on Sunday morning. However, I don't believe that simply going to church each Sunday really shows my faith. I believe that through the various activities during the week that I can live my faith. Each Monday a group of young adults my age get together and participate in a fun activity. Twice a week I go to a class where I learn more about my church. Throughout each month I pick someone to go visit and catch up with to see how I can serve. Each Sunday I meet with a group of friends and go online to answer questions people may have and share what i believe in.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Lexi Cramer
On Sunday Mornings you may notice people walking to an LDS church. You will likely see them dressed in Sunday Best. We are encouraged to wear our best because we are showing respect to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Sunday is the Sabbath Day and should be different than any other day of the week. In Order to do this at church we dress up more than a typical days attire. Women wear dresses and skirts while men wear dress pants a a white button up white with a tie. Members of the Church celebrate Christmas and Easter as the Birth, death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. In my family we emphasis the religious significance of those holidays while also enjoying the commercialized observance. Mormons also celebrate local Holidays depending on where they live. In California we celebrated, Halloween, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, and other Holidays. We love gathering and celebrating any way we can! Show more Show less
