Hi I'm Golda Dopp

I love to travel. I am a ballerina. I collect snow globes. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been called to serve in the China Hong Kong mission, speaking Cantonese. I leave June 29th, and could not be more excited. Currently I am studying dance at Utah Valley University. I love ballet, tulips, sunsets, chocolate, and postcards. I am the oldest of seven children and love my family. I love my Savior and Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ lives. I have felt his love and seen his and Heavenly Father's hand in my life. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is real. I have been changed and comforted from it. The fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is true and it resonates with every particle of my soul. It is simply part of who I am. The Book of Mormon is scripture. It is also testament of Jesus Christ. I know the words in it are true and that its sole purpose is to bring people closer to Christ. Joseph Smith did translate it and speak to God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. The gospel that Christ taught in his mortal ministry was restored through a modern-day prophet, Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

Deciding to go on a mission has already been one of my greatest blessings and best decisions. I love speaking to people about things I am passionate about. Whether that be dance, traveling, drawing, or art history. As I got more opportunities in college to speak to people about my religion, I found how much I loved it. That was one of the deciding factors to choose to serve. The restored gospel is something I know to be true. It has blessed my life, and brings absolute happiness.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Golda Dopp
We believe that every one on the Earth is a son or daughter of God. The message of the gospel applies to every single person who has ever lived, is living, or will live. The truth found in the gospel blesses people's lives on an individual level, brings great blessings and happiness, and unites them as families. Missionaries want to share the gospel to help them grow closer to their Savior and know their Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
