Hi I'm Pam

I grew up as a Mormon but my father never joined the church during his lifetime. I love the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a nurse since 1980 and have worked in a variety of settings. The gospel have helped me through lots of difficult times. I did not marry until I was 36. My husband was divorced and had six children from a previous marriage. Those experiences helped me learn patience and tolerance. I learned to love all kinds of people. I love to crochet, knit and sew. My favorite thing is to make handmade items as gifts for others.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Mormon faith. Even though I had only attended one church, I learned when I was sixteen that everyone needs their own testimony. I had been depending on others for spiritual strength then one day I thought "What am I doing here?" (at church). I knew then that I must search for my own reasons for my church participation. I thought about my testimony and strengthened it through study and prayer. For years I was not always faithful in church participation but always kept the church standards. Eventually I came to know for myself that the gospel is true and the pathway back to God and our family. Jesus Christ is our Redeemer and Saviour. He paid the price for my sins and my guilt is relieved when I repent and follow his example. Through the years of partial activity in the church I was happy but never as happy as I have become when I returned to the church in full fellowship. I still have difficulties in my life but I find that I can handled anything with God and Jesus Christ at my side to help. I have never had the lightening bolt from the sky or miraculous experience but consistent daily presence to testify to me that God knows me and will help me whenever I am in need. I have had precious, sacred experiences to sustain me through good time and difficult times.

How I live my faith

I reguarly volunteer for the Kids Food Kitchen in our community. I have met many wonderful people through service. There are so many good people in the world of many faiths and I am glad to see the good things we can do when we work together for others in need. I have had many callings in the church but my favorites have been with the youth and children. When I work with children in the church I understand why we must become as "little children". Children are trusting and innocent. I have learned to trust God in times of stress and hardship. I pray everyday that I can become more like Jesus Christ who showed love and compassion for all. I have good days and bad days but know through God's love I can keep trying and He will be there for me.
