Hi I'm Joy

I'm a Texan, a future missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ, & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, but I'm a Texan at heart. I'm a big sister of 3 and a little sister of 3. I love learning about people who come from different cultures and learning foreign languages. I enjoy dancing and music and learning about the world we live in.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found a lot of truth that brings me peace as I apply it in my life. I have felt closer to God because I have learned to have faith and talk to Him. I've heard his answers to my questions through His prophet and His word, and had a feeling that I can't deny as the Spirit of God- telling me that this is from my Father. The one most important thing I know to be true in my heart is God loves me, unconditionally- If I don't understand something in my life, He tells me to ask Him (James 1:5). He also invites me to read/study His words. The scriptures teach me about God, and how God asks me to live. I have found through these two methods, that everything God asks of us, is for our benefit, learning, or happiness. I know he loves me. He loves me perfectly- more than I can comprehend. I feel that that's part of why people yearn for love in this life, it's ingrained in us, it's where we came from, it's how we were happy before. And the example Jesus my Lord's example speaks mountains to me. Christ lived an amazing life of love and obedience to his Father while here. I know that His Gospel is where I can become most like Him, and that this is where He wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I go to church and have the delight of teaching 4-5 year-old's about Jesus and our Heavenly Father and how they would like us to be happy in our lives. We talk about things like family, and praying, and trusting Jesus and God. I get to learn and remember these things as I prepare and teach them. I try to remember the things God has asked me to do and do them so that I can be happy.
