Hi I'm David

I grew up in southeastern Washington State where I was raised as a Mormon. I was a Hotel Manager until I retired in 2015.

About Me

I am a grandfather with 3 children and 8 grandchildren. I served in the USAF from 1967 until 1971. Returned to school and graduated from Eastern Washington University in 1975. I worked in hotels before I went into the service, off duty while in the service, after I got out, while I was in college and from the time I graduated until I retired in 2015. I have live all across the continental United States and spent over 20 years in Hawaii and over 6 years in Europe. My wife and I love to travel and we both enjoy sports, particularly if they involved the grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

I could say I am a Mormon because that is the way my parents raised me. But it is much more than that. Since I returned to the church after my years of inactivity, I have been blessed over and over again. I have been blessed physically through the power of the priesthood. I have seen the financial blessings afforded those who pay their tithes and offerings. I have been blessed spiritually through my association with some truly spiritual and dedicated men. I am a Mormon because it makes me a better person.

How I live my faith

I was raised a member of the church but I fell away while I was in the service. While I was in college I married a member, but I remained inactive for a number of years. I was reactivated by a Bishop in Hawaii who would not accept my imperfections as a reason not to accept a calling in the Sunday School presidency. So, for the last approximately 30 years, I have served as a teacher, administrator, etc.. Mostly I have served as a ward clerk, or Bishop's coun
